President Anura Kumara Dissanayake held a meeting with the Council of Arab Ambassadors accredited to Sri Lanka at the Presidential Secretariat on Saturday morning, June 8th. During the discussion, the ambassadors briefed the President on the significant challenges and threats to peace, security, and stability confronting countries in the Middle East amidst the prevailing conflict. President Dissanayake affirmed that Sri Lanka's expectation is the swift establishment of peace in the region.
