Police Clearance Certificate System Restored, August 20 Applicants Urged to Reapply

Sri Lanka Police have announced the restoration of the online system for issuing Police Clearance Certificates. The digital data system experienced a temporary failure on August 20, 2026, at 12:50 p.m., which resulted in applications submitted on that day being affected and removed from the system. Applicants who applied on August 20 are now requested to resubmit their applications through the restored online portal and complete the required payments. The Police Media Division confirmed the system is now fully operational, and the usual online procedure is available.
