PM Amarasuriya Stresses Food Security for National Stability

Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriya recently emphasized the critical importance of food security, rooted in agriculture, for a nation's stability, sovereignty, and national security. Addressing the National Youth Agripreneur Showcase and B2B Connect Conference on April 28 at Waters Edge, Battaramulla, she highlighted the significant challenges confronting the agriculture sector amidst the turbulent global environment. The conference was organized under the Smallholder Agribusiness Partnership Programme (SAPP). This initiative is jointly funded by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and the Government of Sri Lanka.
