PM Amarasuriya Engages UNICEF and IMF on Key National Priorities

Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya has held a series of high-level meetings with international delegations. On June 22, she met with an International Monetary Fund (IMF) delegation to discuss Sri Lanka's economic progress, focusing on the seventh review of the IMF-supported program and the nation's commitment to economic stability and resilience. Earlier, on June 12, the Prime Minister met with a UNICEF delegation at Temple Trees to review efforts for education sector recovery following Cyclone Ditwah, including progress on the emergency response plan. In a separate discussion at Parliament, the PM and UNICEF representatives, joined by the UN Special Representative on Violence Against Children, deliberated on strengthening child protection systems and preventing violence against children in Sri Lanka.
