PM Amarasuriya Champions Equal Rights and Rule of Law

Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya has affirmed the government's commitment to ensuring equal rights and opportunities for all citizens, including persons with disabilities. Speaking at the "Sarasavi Diriya Abhiman" scholarship program in Jaffna, which recognized 75 university students with disabilities and provided financial grants, she stressed their integral role in society. In a separate address marking International Day of Democracy, the Prime Minister declared that all individuals are equal before the law, regardless of their status. She further stated that the current administration upholds democratic trust by granting full independence to the police and judiciary to enforce the law without political interference. This commitment aims to foster a Sri Lanka built on the principles of technological advancement and the rule of law.
