PM Amarasuriya Addresses Oxford Forum on Development, Engages in UK Diplomatic Visit

Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya has embarked on an official visit to the United Kingdom. During her trip, she delivered the 2026 OSGA Annual Lecture at the University of Oxford, presenting on the theme "The Politics of Development: Sri Lanka and Beyond." The lecture explored the connections between development, governance, and politics in Sri Lanka, alongside broader challenges faced by nations pursuing reforms. The Prime Minister is also scheduled to attend the 22nd Annual Commonwealth Education Forum and the COL 2026 Board of Governors Meeting. These engagements are intended to foster enhanced cooperation in education, research, and international partnerships, with a planned meeting with the UK Education Secretary also on the agenda.
