Two Pakistan Navy ships, PNS TAIMUR and PNS ASLAT, arrived at the Port of Colombo on April 12 for a goodwill visit. The Sri Lanka Navy extended a traditional welcome to the visiting vessels. The PNS TAIMUR is commanded by Captain Niamat Saeed Khan, while Captain Nadir Mateen Afridi leads the PNS ASLAT. During their stay, the ships are expected to engage in a bilateral naval exercise named LION STAR V with the Sri Lanka Navy in Colombo seas. This visit aims to foster and strengthen the friendly relations between the navies of both nations.

The vessels, commanded by Captain Niamat Saeed Khan and Captain Nadir Mateen Afridi respectively, participated in the bilateral naval exercise "LION STAR V" with the Sri Lanka Navy in the seas off Colombo. During their stay, the commanding officers also held discussions with the Commander Western Naval Area, Rear Admiral Jagath Kumara, at the Western Naval Command Headquarters. The ships departed the island after concluding their visit.
