Over 150 Sri Lankans Depart for Construction and Infrastructure Jobs in Israel

A total of 150 Sri Lankan workers departed for Israel on September 23, 2026, to take up employment in the construction and infrastructure sectors. This group, comprising 133 for construction jobs and 17 for infrastructure roles, received their air tickets and final briefings at the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE) auditorium. SLBFE Chairman Koshal Wickramasinghe oversaw the distribution of tickets and conducted awareness programs for the departing workers. The event highlights ongoing efforts to facilitate overseas employment for Sri Lankans in various sectors.
