Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa Urges Unity and Accountability for Easter Attacks

He stressed the state's fundamental responsibility to provide justice to those affected. Premadasa urged for independent and transparent investigations, calling for all past inquiry reports to be made public and for perpetrators to be identified through accountable mechanisms. He also lamented that Presidential Commission reports remain confined to archives, leaving victims without closure, and stressed the need to avoid political mudslinging and revenge in the pursuit of justice. These statements were made in a special message for Easter Sunday and also in Parliament.
