The petition had sought an interim order to compel SLC to issue a No-Objection Certificate (NOC), which would enable his participation in international premier league tournaments, including the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL). His legal counsel, President’s Counsel G.G. Arulpragasam, informed the court that several IPL matches had already concluded. Consequently, Thushara decided not to pursue the application further. The court granted permission for the withdrawal of the case.
