New Navy Commander Meets President Dissanayake

The newly appointed Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy, Vice Admiral Damian Fernando, made his first official courtesy call on President Anura Kumara Dissanayake on July 8, 2026. The meeting took place at the Presidential Secretariat. During the protocol visit, the President extended his congratulations to Vice Admiral Fernando on his appointment as the 27th Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy. In return, the Commander of the Navy presented a memento to the President.
