NBRO Issues Level 1 Landslide Warnings for Two Ratnapura Divisions

The National Building Research Organization (NBRO) has issued Level 1 landslide warnings for two Divisional Secretariat (DS) divisions in the Ratnapura District. These warnings apply to the Kolonna and Ratnapura DS divisions and come amidst heavy rainfall in the area. The alert, which advises residents to be vigilant, is effective from 5:00 PM today (April 4) until 5:00 PM tomorrow (April 5). The NBRO has urged people residing on hill slopes and in other landslide-prone areas to remain attentive to potential risks during this period.
