NBRO Issues Level 1 Landslide Warnings for Four Districts

The National Building Research Organisation (NBRO) has issued Level 1 (Yellow) landslide early warnings for multiple Divisional Secretariat divisions across four districts in Sri Lanka. These warnings, prompted by incessant rainfall in parts of the island, are effective from 4:00 p.m. on the 13th until 4:00 p.m. on the 14th. The affected districts include Kandy (Yatinuwara DSD), Kegalle (Warakapola, Kegalle, and Rambukkana DSDs), Nuwara Eliya (Nuwara Eliya and Ambagamuwa DSDs), and Ratnapura (Imbulpe, Kuruwita, Opanayake, Pelmadulla, and Ratnapura DSDs). Residents in these designated areas are advised to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions.
