National People's Power to Hold 21 May Day Rallies, President Dissanayake to Lead Key Events

The National People's Power (NPP) has announced its comprehensive plans to commemorate International Workers' Day, scheduling 21 May Day rallies across Sri Lanka on May 1st. The party's central theme for this year's celebrations is "Jana Rajayata Jana Balayak," translating to "People's Power to the People's Republic." President Anura Kumara Dissanayake is slated to lead two prominent rallies: the main event in Maharagama and another significant gathering in Nuwara Eliya. The Nuwara Eliya rally, confirmed by the All Ceylon Estate Workers' Union, will specifically address estate workers and is expected to take place at the Cinecita Stadium. Regional political leaders will preside over the remaining rallies throughout the country.
