Namal Rajapaksa Confirms Appearance at Bribery Commission, Vows Cooperation

Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa will appear before the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) on Sunday, his lawyer has confirmed. Rajapaksa stated that cooperating with investigations is the best method to prove his innocence and that he is prepared to attend whenever summoned. He also voiced criticism against the government, asserting that attempts to exert pressure or fear tactics are futile. In a separate development, Rajapaksa mentioned he is awaiting a summons from the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) for a statement concerning a visit to Pillaiyan, adding he has questions for the investigators.
