Wildlife authorities, supported by Air Force intelligence and the Special Task Force (STF), have conducted multiple raids resulting in several arrests related to the illegal trade of protected wildlife. In the Galewela area, four individuals were apprehended on April 27, 2026, for possessing 20 highly protected Smooth Spider Conchs, 22 unidentified sea conchs, and two deer antlers, among other animal parts.
