This alert follows heavy rainfall experienced over the past several hours, which has caused rising water levels at hydrological gauges. Consequently, minor flood conditions are anticipated in the affected regions. The warning specifically covers Divisional Secretariat divisions including Divulapitiya, Mirigama, Attanagalla, Mahara, Gampaha, Minuwangoda, Ja-Ela, Katana, and Wattala.
