Ministry of Education Directs Schools to Minimize Event Expenses, Ease Parental Burden

The Ministry of Education has issued a directive to all school principals, urging them to conduct school festivals and commemorations in a simple and low-cost manner. This instruction comes amidst reports that some schools have been spending excessively on such events, despite previous guidelines, thereby creating an unnecessary financial burden for parents. The Ministry emphasized that future programs must ensure parents are not required to bear additional expenses. School administrations were also reminded to strictly adhere to Circular 54/2023 concerning school financial management, along with other relevant financial circulars. The Ministry Secretary underscored the importance of these measures.
