The Ministry of Ports and Civil Aviation, acting on behalf of Airport and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) Ltd (AASL), has invited global investors to submit Expressions of Interest (EOI) for new investment opportunities at the Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport (MRIA). This initiative aims to expand Sri Lanka's aviation sector, specifically targeting the year 2026. Opportunities are available across various areas, including airport operations, cargo services, logistics, aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO), and the development of industrial parks with facilities for manufacturing, packaging, and storage. Proposals are welcomed from registered investors, companies, corporations, and joint ventures worldwide. A Cabinet-appointed committee will be responsible for reviewing and selecting viable submissions.
