Man Arrested in Balummahara for Foreign Employment Fraud, Found with Forged Documents

A 60-year-old man from the Gampaha area was arrested by Yakkala Police in the Balummahara area on April 25 for alleged financial fraud. The suspect is accused of defrauding money by falsely promising foreign employment to individuals. During the raid, police discovered he was in possession of a forged identity card and a fake driving license. Further investigations revealed that the individual was wanted under open warrants issued by the Marawila Magistrate's Court in connection with multiple financial fraud cases. Yakkala Police are conducting further investigations into the matter.
