Major Heroin Seizure in Homagama Leads to Arrest of 'Gagana' Associate

The Western Province North Crimes Division arrested a suspect in Homagama on April 24 with 12 kilograms of heroin, estimated to be worth approximately Rs. 120 million. The individual, identified as Prasad Nishantha Colombage of Homagama, is alleged to have been managing drug trafficking operations for "Homagama Gagana", an organized criminal and drug trafficker reportedly based overseas. The arrest was made following intelligence gathered from the interrogation of previously detained suspects. This operation is part of ongoing efforts against a wider drug network, which reportedly includes figures like Ranjith Perera, also known as 'Konda Ranjith', who is said to be in police custody in Dubai.
