Main Suspect in Teldeniya Woman's Death Arrested in Jaffna with Family

The main suspect in the Teldeniya case, where a 33-year-old woman's body was discovered inside a parked vehicle on June 17, has been arrested in Jaffna. The 43-year-old suspect, along with his 35-year-old wife and their young child, were apprehended early on June 24 while traveling by bus from the Colombo area towards Jaffna. Police units including the Jaffna Crime Investigation Unit and the Walana Anti-Corruption Unit were involved in the operation, during which the suspects reportedly used disguises. Authorities have also revealed that the main suspect is wanted in connection with multiple financial fraud cases across several courts. The family is expected to be transferred to Nuwara Eliya Police for further investigation.
