The Special Investigation Unit of the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE) has arrested three individuals, including two women and one man, in connection with a large-scale foreign employment scam. The suspects allegedly defrauded job seekers of over 10 million rupees by promising positions in Albania, Canada, and Japan. Operating under the guise of a student visa agency named Global Educare Consultancy in Maharagama, the establishment was found to be running without a valid SLBFE license. Authorities seized numerous documents, including job agreements, during the raid.
