Lanka Sathosa Reduces Prices on Nine Essential Items

Lanka Sathosa has announced price reductions for nine essential consumer items, effective from June 18. The move, instructed by the Ministry of Trade, Commerce, Food Security and Cooperative Development, aims to provide relief to the public. Among the items seeing price cuts, wheat flour will be reduced by Rs. 10 per kilogram, marking the largest reduction. Several varieties of rice, including Ponni Samba, Red Nadu, and White Kekulu, will also see decreases ranging from Rs. 3 to Rs. 6 per kilogram. These reduced prices will be available at all Lanka Sathosa outlets across the island.
