Specific areas under Red alert include Pasbage Korale DS Division in Kandy; Dehiowita, Aranayake, Deraniyagala, Mawanella, and Yatiyanthota DS Divisions in Kegalle; and Kotmale West, Kotmale East, Ambegamuwa, and Norwood DS Divisions in Nuwara Eliya.
