Landslide Warnings Issued Across Sri Lanka Amid Heavy Rains

The National Building Research Organisation (NBRO) has extended landslide warnings for 13 districts across Sri Lanka, now valid until May 17th at 4 PM. New Level 2 (Amber) alerts have been issued for specific Divisional Secretariats in Colombo (Sitawaka), Galle (Neluwa), Kalutara (Agalawatta, Mathugama, Horana, Walallawita, Palindanuwara), Kandy (Gang Ilaha Korale, Delthota, Pasbage Korale, Gangawata Korale, Pathahewaheta, Yatinuwara, Doluwa, Udapalattha, Panvila, Akurana), Kurunegala (Alawwa, Narammala), and Ratnapura (Pelmadulla, Ratnapura, Eheliyagoda, Ayagama, Kuruvita, Kiriyella, Kalawana) districts. The public in affected areas is urged to remain vigilant.
