The Kudawa main entrance to the Sinharaja World Heritage Forest Reserve is scheduled for a six-day closure, effective from April 10 until April 15, 2026. This temporary measure has been announced by the Sinharaja Forest Reserve Controller's Office, aligning with the Sinhala and Tamil New Year holiday period. Sinharaja Forest Controller S. De Nimal confirmed that the entrance will reopen to visitors on April 16. During this specified period, tourists will not be permitted to access the reserve through the Kudawa entrance.
