Kottawa Prime Land Allocated for 99-Year Mixed-Development Lease

The Sri Lankan cabinet has given its approval for a mixed-development project on a prime piece of state land located in Kottawa town center. The 1 acre, 1 rood, 19.40 perch parcel, situated along the High Level Road within the Maharagama Municipal Council limits, has been transferred to the Urban Development Authority (UDA) as a free grant. Following a recommendation from a special cabinet-appointed committee, the unused land will now be offered on a 99-year lease to attract investment for development. This initiative aims to optimize the utilization of state-owned properties for urban enhancement.
