Kollupitiya Shooting Leaves Two Injured, Suspect Apprehended

A shooting incident occurred in Kollupitiya's 6th Lane early this morning, resulting in two individuals sustaining injuries. The victims, identified as a 30-year-old woman and a 42-year-old man, were reportedly on the road when the shooting took place around 2:40 a.m. Police stated the incident escalated from an argument, with the suspect allegedly firing from the upper floor of a house. The suspect, identified as the son of a retired police officer, has been apprehended along with the firearm used. Both injured parties have been admitted to the National Hospital in Colombo, and Kollupitiya Police are conducting further investigations.
