'Kehelbadhdara Padme' Remanded Until Sept 3 on PTA Charges

Korallagamage Mandinu Pathmasiri Perera, widely known as 'Kehelbadhdara Padme', was remanded until September 3rd by the Colombo Chief Magistrate's Court today (August 25th). The suspect, identified as an organized criminal, is being investigated by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) under the Prevention of Terrorism Act (PTA). Perera was reportedly arrested in Indonesia on August 8th, 2025, and subsequently brought to Sri Lanka on August 31st, 2025, where he has been held in CID custody for nearly a year. He was presented before Magistrate Asanga S. Bodaragama.
