Jetstar Launches Direct Melbourne-Colombo Flights

Australian low-cost airline Jetstar has launched direct flights connecting Melbourne and Colombo, with its inaugural service arriving at Bandaranaike International Airport on June 25th. The new route, operated using a Boeing 787 Dreamliner, is scheduled to run three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. The inaugural flight JQ5 departed Melbourne at 12:00 PM and arrived in Colombo at 5:50 PM, carrying 271 passengers and 13 crew members. This service is expected to enhance tourism, trade, and people-to-people exchanges between the two nations.
