Japan Commits USD 2.6 Million for Sri Lanka's Climate Resilience and Gender Equality Projects

The Government of Japan has reaffirmed its commitment to Sri Lanka's development by allocating USD 2.6 million from its Japanese Supplementary Budget (JSB). This funding is designated for two new projects aimed at strengthening climate resilience in vulnerable communities and advancing gender equality. These initiatives will be undertaken in collaboration with the Government of Sri Lanka and implemented in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Sri Lanka. The projects are expected to contribute significantly to the nation's sustainable recovery from disasters and foster inclusive development across the country.
