Iran's IRGC Claims Vessel Attacks in Strait of Hormuz, Warns of Further Action

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has claimed responsibility for attacking multiple vessels in the Strait of Hormuz, citing different justifications. The IRGC stated it targeted three oil tankers on unauthorized routes and three other US-connected vessels in retaliation for alleged US attacks on Iranian oil tankers. Other reports from the IRGC mention stopping a second "offending vessel" or attacking two vessels that reportedly exploded. Iran issued a warning that continued "US-Israeli aggressions" would result in "even more devastating" responses, amidst rising tensions in the Persian Gulf.
