Iranian Officials Report Over 30 Universities Targeted Amidst US-Israel Conflict

Iranian officials have reported that more than 30 universities across the country have been subjected to direct attacks. Iran's Science Minister, Hossein Simaei Sarraf, stated that non-military educational and research infrastructure has been targeted during the ongoing conflict with the United States and Israel. Among the affected institutions is the prestigious Shahid Beheshti University in North Tehran, where its Laser and Plasma Research Institute was reportedly destroyed in an incident on April 3rd. These attacks have allegedly deprived millions of students of education and research opportunities, leading the government to implement online learning for universities. The Iranian government attributes these actions to a joint effort by the US and Israel.
