Indian Naval Ship IOS Sagar Arrives in Colombo with 16-Nation Crew

Indian Naval Ship Sunayna, operating as IOS Sagar, arrived in Colombo this morning carrying a multinational crew from 16 countries. This marks the vessel's seventh port call during the second edition of its deployment, which aims to build "Bridges of Friendship" and enhance regional maritime cooperation. The ship departed Mumbai on April 2, 2026, after completing multinational harbour training. The crew comprises officers and sailors from nations including Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Kenya, Malaysia, Maldives, Mauritius, Mozambique, Myanmar, Singapore, Seychelles, South Africa, Tanzania, Thailand, Timor Leste, and the UAE.
