Indian Geologist Caught at BIA with Rs. 108 Million Cocaine

Sri Lanka Customs officers at the Katunayake Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) arrested an Indian national, identified as a 60-year-old geologist, on May 15th. The suspect was found with 2,150 grams of cocaine, estimated to be worth Rs. 108 million, concealed in his luggage. He had arrived from Uganda via Doha on Qatar Airways flight QR 664 and was intercepted while attempting to pass through the green channel. The Narcotics Control Unit conducted the operation based on intelligence and surveillance.
