The Chief of the Air Staff of the Indian Air Force, Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh, arrived in Sri Lanka on May 18th for a three-day official visit aimed at strengthening bilateral defence relations. On May 19th, he paid floral tributes at the Indian Peace Keeping Force monument in Battaramulla. He was subsequently accorded a ceremonial guard of honour at the Sri Lanka Air Force Headquarters, followed by discussions with the Commander of the Sri Lanka Air Force. Air Chief Marshal Singh also held cordial discussions with Sri Lanka's Defence Secretary, Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuyacontha (Retd), at the Ministry of Defence, focusing on matters of bilateral importance.
