Indian Air Force Chief Concludes First Day of Sri Lanka Visit

The Chief of the Air Staff of the Indian Air Force, Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh, arrived in Sri Lanka on May 18th for a three-day official visit aimed at strengthening bilateral defence relations. On May 19th, he paid floral tributes at the Indian Peace Keeping Force monument in Battaramulla. He was subsequently accorded a ceremonial guard of honour at the Sri Lanka Air Force Headquarters, followed by discussions with the Commander of the Sri Lanka Air Force. Air Chief Marshal Singh also held cordial discussions with Sri Lanka's Defence Secretary, Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuyacontha (Retd), at the Ministry of Defence, focusing on matters of bilateral importance.

During the first day of his visit to Sri Lanka on May 19th, Indian Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal A. P. Singh met with Sri Lankan Defence Secretary Retired Air Vice Marshal S. Thuyyacontha at the Ministry of Defence. The two officials engaged in a cordial discussion on matters of bilateral importance. Senior officials from the Indian High Commission, including the Indian Defence Advisor, also participated in the meeting.
