India Pledges Continued TB Control Support, Donates Medication to Sri Lanka

Sri Lankan Health Minister Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa met with Indian Health and Family Welfare Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda on the sidelines of the 79th WHO Regional Committee session in Dili, Timor-Leste. During the bilateral talks, India agreed to extend technical and other assistance to strengthen Sri Lanka's tuberculosis control initiatives. This cooperation follows India's recent donation of 3 tons of TB medication, which arrived in Sri Lanka on August 28th. Minister Jayatissa expressed Sri Lanka's gratitude for India's consistent support and friendship during challenging times.
