India Donates 134 Vehicles to Sri Lanka Police

Inspector General of Police Attorney-at-Law Priyantha Weerasuriya appreciated the donation made by the Indian government during the official handover ceremony at the Presidential Secretariat today (25). The ceremony saw President Anura Kumara Dissanayake officially receive 134 single cab vehicles donated by India, valued at approximately Rs. 300 million. Indian High Commissioner Santosh Jha also stated that India will continue to extend similar assistance. The vehicles are slated for distribution to police stations in the Northern Province.

The donation, valued at approximately Rs. 300 million, is part of the Indo–Sri Lanka Friendship Programme and will be distributed to police stations in the Northern Province.
