A special discussion was held to brief representatives of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) on Sri Lanka Customs' upcoming Paperless Customs Declaration Processing System. This new system is scheduled to be implemented starting October 1, 2026. The briefing took place at the Presidential Secretariat this afternoon (11) under the chairmanship of Presidential Secretary Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumanayake. Officials from Sri Lanka Customs and the Revenue Administration Reform and Modernization Division provided a comprehensive overview of the system, including its technical readiness and planned awareness programs.
