A delegation of International Cricket Council (ICC) officials, including Deputy Chairman Imran Khwaja and BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia, has arrived in Sri Lanka. The purpose of their visit is to investigate recent changes in the country's cricket administration, particularly the government's appointment of an interim committee. On May 17th, the ICC representatives met with Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake in Colombo. Prior to meeting the President, the delegation also held discussions with newly appointed administrative officials at Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) headquarters. This visit follows the resignation of the former executive committee and the subsequent formation of a transitional committee by the Sports Ministry to oversee SLC's affairs. The ICC delegation is expected to engage with various stakeholders to assess the situation and discuss future structural reforms for Sri Lankan cricket.
