Horana Bus Drivers Arrested in Narcotics Operation

An operation conducted yesterday (11) at the Horana main bus stand resulted in the arrest of bus drivers and conductors suspected of operating under the influence of narcotics. The joint effort by the National Transport Medical Institute and local police screened 151 individuals. While reports vary, several bus crew members were apprehended for alleged drug use. The operation was conducted to ensure passenger safety and prevent accidents caused by impaired driving.
