Gnanasara Thero Case Over Islam Insult Allegations Set for June 30 Hearing

The Colombo High Court has set June 30 for the next hearing of a case filed against Ven. Galagoda Aththe Gnanasara Thero, General Secretary of the Bodu Bala Sena (BBS) organisation. The Attorney General initiated the legal action based on allegations that the monk made remarks insulting to the Islamic faith. Ven. Gnanasara Thero appeared in court on June 16 before High Court Judge Buddika C. Ragala. Following today's proceedings, the case was adjourned to the aforementioned date.
