Piliyandala Police arrested a garage owner on April 12 for allegedly assembling five high-powered motorcycles that cannot be registered in Sri Lanka. The seized motorcycles are collectively valued at approximately LKR 20 million, with one assembled unit estimated at LKR 6.5 million. The arrest followed a tip-off received by Piliyandala Police OIC Chaminda Kulasinghe, leading officers from the Community Police Unit to raid a garage on the Piliyandala Alternative Road. During questioning, the suspect reportedly stated that four individuals had supplied him with the motorcycle parts. Further investigations into the incident are currently underway by the Piliyandala Police.

Police have confirmed that the arrested garage owner was allegedly assembling five high-capacity motorcycles with a total estimated value of nearly Rs. 20 million. One of these motorcycles alone is valued at approximately Rs. 6.5 million. The raid, which led to the arrest, was carried out at a garage located along the Piliyandala alternative road, following a tip-off received by the Officer-in-Charge of the Piliyandala Police.
