Four Arrested Over Live Grenade Found Near Borella Residence

Police discovered a live hand grenade placed near a house on Leslie Ranagala Mawatha in Borella on August 23rd. The incident is reportedly linked to organized crime, with the house associated with an individual connected to "Wanathe Chathu," an alleged criminal arrested in Dubai. The grenade, which did not detonate, was allegedly delivered by a person on a motorcycle. Four suspects, including a woman, have been arrested for aiding and abetting the placement of the explosive. The motorcycle used in the incident was also recovered abandoned in the Kotikawatta area, and the suspects are scheduled to be produced in court.
