All individuals were arrested and remanded following an investigation by the Police Financial Crimes Investigation Division (FCID) into the alleged misuse of a Lanka Sathosa lorry. Former Minister Johnston Fernando was granted bail today (April 24, 2026) by the Wattala Magistrate’s Court. Magistrate Kanchana N. Silva ordered his release on a cash bail of Rs. 25,000 and four personal sureties of Rs. 500,000 each. The case pertains to the alleged misuse of a Lanka Sathosa lorry.
