Former Intelligence Director's Wife Appeals for Justice Amidst Health Concerns

The wife of former State Intelligence Director, retired Major General Suresh Sale, has made multiple appeals concerning his detention and health. Manori Sale has written to President Anura Kumara Dissanayake requesting the revocation of his detention order and to the Catholic Bishops' Conference seeking support for justice. She has alleged that the CID admitted to stripping and searching her husband while in custody, and that his health is severely deteriorating due to a hunger strike. Mr. Sale is currently held under a detention order related to the Easter Sunday attack investigations and is receiving treatment at Colombo National Hospital.
