Five people were hospitalized following a serious road accident in Thillaiyadi, Puttalam on June 24th. The incident occurred when a van, travelling from Anuradhapura to Negombo after a pilgrimage, veered off the road. It subsequently collided with a three-wheeler and crashed into a nearby building. Reports indicate the van driver lost control while attempting to avoid a car that suddenly crossed the road. All injured individuals were admitted to Puttalam Base Hospital.
