Hingurakgoda Police have arrested five suspects for allegedly carrying out illegal excavations in search of artifacts. The arrests were made yesterday (06) during a raid in the Thalpotha area, following intelligence received by the police. The suspects, aged 19, 26, 45, 47, and 49, are reportedly residents of Polonnaruwa and Pulastigama. The Hingurakgoda Police are continuing investigations into the incident.
