Fire at Batagoda Elderly Home: 11 Dead, 51 Rescued, 7 Injured

New reports indicate the death toll from the Batagoda elderly home fire has been revised to 10. This figure includes 09 bodies recovered at the scene and one patient who died while receiving treatment at Horana Hospital. The number of individuals present at the home when the fire broke out has been updated to 71. Authorities have commenced on-site investigations into the incident, with the Government Analyst and Horana Magistrate visiting the location.
